Before you launch any campaigns with VideoRankMe some set up is required.
Choosing a domain
The first decision is what domain to use for your campaigns to sit on. When signing up you have the option of choosing your own subdomain e.g. "video.yourcompany.com" or setting up as a subdomain on VideoRankMe "yourcompany.videorankme.com"
While setting up on VideoRankMe is easier you get a much better experience with the platform by setting up your own subdomain.
- It will help build the domain authority of your own website
- Your URL will be more brand aligned
- Because of Google's love of relevancy you will rank better.
Once you have chosen the subdomain you want to use (video.yourcompany.com) you will just need to make some changes on your DNS. To learn how to do that see this article.
Before launching a campaign you need to ensure that your settings reflect your target location.
When logged into the VideoRankMe platform click on the icon in the top right of the screen and click "My Account"
In the next screen click Settings
On the settings page scroll down to "Country" and pick your targeted location from the drop-down menu.
As all campaigns are published to YouTube you need to ensure that your YouTube Channel is set to the country that you are targeting for your campaigns.
